Investors throughout May weren’t perturbed by the deal to purchase the Square Enix studios, but Wingefors’ letter justifying the Savvy investment was a clear reaction to the stock falling, ultimately dropping almost 15% a week after the announcement. Furthermore, Embracer’s purchase of the “Lord of the Rings” license has yet to result in the stock rebounding amid more dips throughout the summer.
