Sports science has progressed light years since 2008, when Portland took Oden first overall and saw him play in 82 games for the team — total — over four seasons with the club. “We have unbelievable experience working on how to avoid stress , how to avoid them with those long feet,” Wembanyama’s agent, Bouna Ndiaye, told ESPN. “We have been working very specifically on his body to make him safer.”
