Parents are being reminded that the application portal for pre-school and primary school places in Northern Ireland for September 2023 to June 2024 opens in a few days time.
If your child is born on or between 2 July 2020 and 1 July 2021 your child will be underage for the school year September 2023 to June 2024. You should complete your application providing all the relevant details about how your child meets the pre-schools/schools admissions criteria. This applies only to children: Born on or between 1 April 2019 and 1 July 2019 OR Born before 1 April 2019 but due to be born on or after 1 April 2019 if born at term . These children can decide to defer P1 for one year and apply for pre-school.
