Here's how to watch the 2019 HispanicHeritage Awards, honoring alexoficial, Residente & more
, and Canelo Alvarez . The Hispanic Heritage Award For Leadership is granted to Sylvia Acevedo, CEO of the Girl Scouts of the USA; Alejandra Y. Castillo, CEO of YWCA USA; Virginia Kase, CEO of the League of Women Voters; and Mónica Ramírez, Founder of Justice for Migrant Women.
Performers taking the stage include Los Tigres del Norte, Mon Laferte, Amara La Negra, Nella Rojas, and Mauricio Martinez, who will sing the national anthem. Ingrid Hoffmann, John Carter Cash & Ana Cristina Cash, Pati Jinich, Elizardi Castro, Isabela Moner, Laura Gomez, JW Cortés, Richard “Crazy Legs” Colón and more will be presenting.
The awards, which were created by the White House in 1987 to commemorate the establishment of Hispanic Heritage Month in America, recognize the contributions and accomplishments of Latino leaders in various fields while celebrating cultural pride and the great promise to America. The Hispanic Heritage Awards took place on Oct. 1 at the John F. Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
