You can stream the 2022 Winter Olympics on Peacock.
“In theory, the games are open to any country wishing to field a qualified team of athletes,” says the site, providing a little historical color. “Originally, that meant amateurs only.
“But during the protracted Cold War, Eastern Bloc countries, such as the Soviet Union, fielded athletes who were essentially paid professionals. In response, the IOC [International Olympic Committee] began allowing participation by professional athletes in the late 1980s.” And boy, these are, indeed, some professional athletes: At least 87 countries will watch their best sports sports representations compete for the gold in each category, some notable names including famed American snowboarder, Shaun White.
