🔎 How today will unfold on final day of Queen lying in state with minute's silence tonight
Members of the public pay their respects as they pass the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II in Westminster Hall The UK will hold a minute’s silence later during the final full day of the Queen’s lying in state.
As of 8am, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport’s online tracker said the estimated queuing time was at least 13.5 hours.The country will observe a one-minute silence to remember the Queen at 8pm. Camilla, in pre-recorded words to be aired on the BBC, will speak of how Queen Elizabeth II carved out her own role for many years in the “difficult position” of being a “solitary woman” in a male-dominated world.There will also be a service of reflection near Falkirk, Scotland at 7.30pm.
