Human trials on a new needle-free ‘painless’ COVID-19 vaccine developed and manufactured in Australia will start this week.

Manufactured at a high-tech facility in Adelaide, the new vaccine has the potential to become a major Australian export and would prevent us from having to rely on limited supplies of imported vaccines. It can be shipped at room temperature, stored for five years and manufactured in existing facilities en-masse.

The trial's Lead Investigator Associate Professor Branka Grubor-Bauk said it's essential we continue developing the ‘next generation' COVID-19 vaccines.
