Humza Yousaf will today announce a £10.5m funding boost to improve the education of care experienced young people.The Promise was launched following an independent review in 2020.
Another part of the Promise is that young people will feel loved, safe and respected if they need to go into care.Yousaf told the Record: “I am fully committed to Keeping the Promise - every single child should grow up loved, safe, supported and respected, as well as being given every opportunity to flourish and reach their full potential.
“We know it is making a real difference as the latest figures show more care experienced children and young people are staying in school for longer and achieving higher qualifications.
