Yousaf won a bitter SNP leadership contest to succeed Sturgeon in March 2023 and has faced a turbulent 12 months in the top job.
Humza Yousaf has a lower favourability rating with Scots than his predecessor Nicola Sturgeon, a poll has found.
It found the SNP’s overall net favourability rating has fallen from minus one in March 2023 to minus 10 in March this year. This is an improvement on the rating of minus 20 he had when he was running to be SNP leader, it is lower than the rating of his Labour rival. Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross has the lowest rating of the major party leaders at minus 42, the poll found, with 14 per cent of people viewing him favourably and 56 per cent viewing him unfavourably.
