The scientist Mitchell Brennan, who donned scuba gear to carry the seahorse fry in plastic bags to the bottom of the bay after hand-rearing them, described the outcome as “fantastic”.“Hopefully we see them out there for years to come, reproducing and adding to populations.” “Seahorses can be quite difficult to look after in the captive environment. They can be quite sensitive,” Brennan said.
