NRL: Ben Hunt has made public comments about his current contract situation with the St. George Illawarra Dragons.
The St George Illawarra Dragons are reportedly set to hold talks with out of favour Eels captain Clint Gutherson as the tension surrounding Ben Hunt ’s future builds at the club.reported the Dragons won’t be pressured into granting Hunt a contract extension as they prepare to negotiate with Gutherson early this week.
Hunt has been open about his desire to relocate his family back to Queensland and has also been linked with the Bulldogs to partner Matt Burton in the halves. The team were tipped to break their finals drought, but lost their final three games to the Sharks, Eels and Raiders to slip out of the top eight.
He also missed 25 tackles in his last six games, which is a big reason for the concern from Dragons officials over his long-term future.
