Police are carrying out a manhunt after two young men and a pet dog were shot dead in a driveway of a home in the Melbourne. 9News
Atem Atem, a 29-year-old bricklayer, and another 22-year-old man died after they were shot outside their home in Carmichael Drive, Wyndham Vale just before 3am on Saturday.READ MORE:
Atem Atem died in the Melbourne shooting alongside a friend, and another man aged 23 was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.to receive our daily newsletters and breaking news alerts, sent straight to your inbox. Police said the men were in Atem's garage when they visited by a group of men, before there was a confrontation.
The family's barking dog woke two of his younger brothers. When they went outside to investigate they found their pet shot dead.Police believe there were three vehicles involved in the incident and are asking anyone who was driving in the area around 2.30am to contact them.Police have called the incident "absolutely tragic".Police are searching for information about the cars involved.
"I can't shed any light on the victims, safe to say they were two young men at home minding their own business when this tragic event occurred," Murray said.
