Hunter Biden prosecutor to testify behind closed doors to House Republicans

"Mr. Weiss is prepared to take this unprecedented step of testifying before the conclusion of his investigation to make clear that he's had and continues to have full authority over his investigation and to bring charges in any jurisdiction," a spokesperson for Weiss said ahead of his appearance. In keeping with Justice Department policy, Weiss will not address specifics in his probe, the spokesperson said.
Weiss has headed an investigation into Hunter Biden since 2019. Originally nominated during Republican President Donald Trump's administration, he was allowed to remain in place under Biden.
