The scandalous 53-year-old son of President Joe Biden has accepted a plea deal on tax and firearm charges, in a move likely to keep him out of prison.

According to the United States Department of Justice, Mr Biden failed to file his tax returns on two occasions in 2017 and 2018 on earnings of more than US$1.5 million.

Mr Biden is also facing one count of possessing a firearm “by a person who is an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance”.
