The Met Office has issued a new long-range weather forecast for the UK amid Tropical Storm Ernesto, which has unleashed downpours in Puerto Rico and is set to develop into a major hurricane.
The Met Office has issued a warning regarding the impact of Hurricane Ernesto on UK weather next week.
And next week, the UK should brace for the aftermath of the storm, which is expected to trigger "unsettled" conditions across the region – albeit not nearly as severely as experienced within the Caribbean. Those situated in Argyll should expect it to get cloudier at time with a few light showers. However, across in the capital, in Edinburgh, residents can expect a dry weekend with some sunny intervals, feeling warm in the afternoon sunshine before light showers into next week.
Some parts of the UK, particularly in the southeast and east, could bask in "very warm" conditions due to an incoming weather front, Met Office forecasters predict.
