Nova Scotia is expecting to be hit by Cat 4 Hurricane Fiona later tonight with winds up to 130 mph. Meanwhile, Gov. DeSantis has requested funds to help prepare Florida for the oncoming Cat 3 hurricane that could wreak havoc later this week. More:
SAN DIEGO – Hurricane Fiona strengthened into a category-four storm as it barreled towards Canada’s Atlantic coast.
According to the National Hurricane Center, it’s on track to hit Novia Scotia Sept. 23 with winds up to 130-miles-per-hour.Forecasters say it has the potential to be very dangerous and urge residents to take the warnings seriously. So far Fiona has led to the deaths of five-people and left millions of homes in the Caribbean Islands in the dark and without running water.
Meanwhile, a tropical depression is making its way toward Florida where Ron DeSantis has requested federal funding to help prepare the coast of the state for one of the worst storms it’s seen in years.
