This was my first time getting a mattress in a box. The last time I bought a mattress, it was from Sleep Country . That was more than 10 years ago, required a box spring and the cost was still more than the Hush price . This experience exceeded my expectations in terms of ease of purchase, delivery and assembly. It’s simple enough to get the vacuumed-packed mattress from the box to the bed frame. The only issue I had when the mattress unfurled was getting the packing plastic out from under the bed. The mattress expands quickly and sliding out the plastic takes a bit of force and can be a two-person job. This isn’t unique though and this can be a struggle with any boxed beds.Article contentThe Arctic Luxe is soft and supportive. The pillow top feels like sleeping in a cloud.
I’d put the firmness at a 5/10, even though the site says 7.5/10. The edge support, which is how well the perimeter of the bed holds up when you’re close or sitting at the side of it, is adequate.
