A hotel to the stars and high-profile figures has announced its sudden closure after 36 years. The Hyatt Regency Perth , on Adelaide Tce in the CBD, will close its doors on August 31. Owner Tuan Sing Holdings Limited said it decided to terminate the management agreement as part of its “long-term business strategy”. “Hyatt Regency Perth has been a hospitality institution in the city for decades,” Tuan Sing vice president of hospitality Lim Guan Kiang said.
“We thank everyone and Hyatt who have played a part in making this hotel the success story it has been for so many years and for the countless memories and experiences many of us will cherish.” Hotel operator Hyatt and Tuan Sing are working to support guests and customers with affected bookings, and looking at ongoing opportunities for employees. Hyatt Regency Perth joined the hotel brand’s global portfolio in 1988.
