Simon Birmingham has called on the government to release health advice on ending pandemic leave payments, urging Labor to hold itself to the same standard as when it criticised the Coalition in opposition.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has come under significant pressure to re-instate the $750 support payments for casual workers forced into COVID-19 self-isolation.

Offer ends 31 October, 2022 “It’s for this government to now step forward and be clear and transparent with the Australian people,” Mr Birmingham told Sky News Australia’s Laura Jayes. “And now they need to make sure they hold themselves to the type of standard they used to hold the previous government to.The Prime Minister has attempted to shift responsibility to his predecessor for the expiry of the payments and has called an emergency meeting of National Cabinet for Monday to discuss the changes.
