EXCLUSIVE: Michelle Heaton has opened up on her past alcohol addictions on a new podcast appearance, where she said that it was Katie Price who inspired her to turn her life around

Michelle Heaton said that she "accepted I was going to die" during the height of her alcohol and drug addiction, but revealed that her pal Katie Price was the one to inspire her to get sober.

She even revealed that she had always wanted to go on Dancing on Ice, and had auditioned twice for the show prior to going on it , but she was in a "dark place" at the time. "And at that moment in time, I was with my friend Katie Price and she was sober and clean and she was in a really good place and I hadn't seen her like that and for quite a while."It took seeing somebody who I was close to be good to realise that maybe I could get like that."

Prior to making the decision to get clean, Michelle said: "I remember just feeling done. I was just exhausted. My body was battered. I knew I was gonna die. I had, maybe the week before, I had this epiphany that this is how I was gonna die. Like I had accepted it and I have said that. Like I've got my kids, my family. And like I obviously love everybody.
