McDonald's has released a new limited edition autumn menu for October and November
This week McDonald's released its autumn menu that's available until November 21, so you'll only have a few weeks to sample it. Launched on Wednesday , we've got two new burgers to choose from.We're a huge fan of the golden arches, and most definitely eat it way more than we should. Because of this, our friends at the Echo decided to try out all the new items on the October menu to show you all the highlights.
If I had to compare this burger to anything, I'd say it's got a very similar flavour to the double cheeseburger with the double patties, but it's bigger, and has more cheese as well as cheese sauce. According to the McDonald's product description, this £6.99 meal promises to deliver 'the ultimate cheesy experience' with two beef patties, a cheese sauce, two cheese slices, grilled and crispy onions and pickles.
I'm pretty sure I'd tried these Chilli Cheese Bites once before and wasn't overly impressed, so I'm not sure if the ingredients have changed slightly because these ones tasted cheesier and had a slightly different texture inside. Stand out items for me from the new menu was the Toffee Apple Pie priced at £1.99 and the Toffee Apple Doughnut priced at £2.19. The Toffee Apple pie was super hearty, warm and gooey on the inside, it was sweet, but not too sweet, and had what can only be described as a 'wintery flavour'.
