Opinion I did everything I could to stay safe and I still got COVID
To all those COVID conspiracists who think it’s a plot, an attempt to dupe the populace? Fine. We are all permitted to have opinions.
What a joyous celebration. We sang, we laughed and we chatted while unbeknownst to all, the enemy swept through us. As positive results began to emerge, I too joined the pre-ChristmasI cannot adequately express the despair I felt at returning home late at night, hot, hungry and untested as site after site slammed shut on queues that wound interminably through the streets. I was bereft, gobsmacked, angry and exhausted.
Day one passed. Day two, no result. Day three I tried the designated 1800 hotline number. The recorded message informed me calls were not being taken due to high demand.
