A woman who ran a Sydney daycare centre, where a baby died, became emotional as she gave evidence to an inquest about why she didn't have a valid CPR qualification at the time of the baby's death.Carer tells inquest she thought babies "would be more comfortable in bassinets"The carer, who the ABC is choosing to identify as HR, left seven-month-old Jack Loh unattended in her Randwick home in 2019 for 30 minutes. She returned to find him blue and unresponsive in a bassinet.
HR was highly emotional on the stand in the NSW Coroner's Court on Wednesday and said she had "blocked" out a lot of memories about the day Jack died, due to trauma. When senior counsel assisting Katherine Richardson asked HR why she hadn't rebooked she said: "I'm not sure, I forgot about it".
