'It's so important to be authentic on this show...'
is an ongoing interview series that celebrates the best LGBTQ+ representation on screen. Each instalment showcases talent working on both sides of the camera, including queer creatives and allies to the community.contestant Kailum about being part of the UK's first gay dating show.
Exactly! And that's the whole reason why I made an absolute effort, I was like, I'm keeping my top off the entire time, every single day, I'm keeping my top off as much as I possibly can because I need to show that you can be big, bold and beautiful all at the same time.
And you do really forget the cameras are there, like for example, this wasn't a deep conversation but this was one of the stupid conversations that happened with me and Ross about douching, which was really funny. Yeah, two moments, which I know because the episodes are so short, there's only so much they can fit it... I loved all the outfits. And I'm a huge Freddie Mercury fan, so I loved that Freddie was in there too! What advice would you give anyone that was hoping to take part in season 2?It's so important to be authentic on this show, because it's still, even though this season happened, for more seasons to come, it's just pushing that boundary even more and showing more versions of what the queer community have to offer.
