I felt completely dismissed and humiliated.’ Amy was broken, she felt suicidal and insomnia set in. Returning to her GP for help she was finally referred to eating disorder services where she received excellent support. However, her birth was traumatic, with her obstetrician denying any knowledge of Amy’s request for help with the eating disorder.
