The Prime Minister landed a hit on his embattled predecessor Scott Morrison while discussing how and when the new Reserve Bank Governor would be announced.
Speaking to 6PR on Thursday, Mr Albanese declined to answer questions about a potential successor for current head Philip Lowe, or when the government might make an announcement about the RBA's future leadership.

"We're giving on an ongoing basis, doing what we can there, but making sure as well that we don't put further pressure on inflation." The former prime minister was central in establishing the failed scheme which wrongfully pursued hundreds of Australians over inflated or non-existent government debt. The Robodebt scheme is the second major scandal tied to the former Liberal leader, with Mr Albanese's reference to"secret ministries" the other case of questionable conduct.
