If I check out your Instagram and you have a bottle of Diptyque perfume arranged in a flat-lay next to your passport and sunglasses, I assume you are a lot fancier than I am. That’s kind of what I associate this brand with: impossibly beautiful women who have mastered that illusive “French girl style” and are probably sitting first class on an Emirates flight to Monacowith a glass of champagne in hand.
The initial notes had a very intense green quality about them that smelled fresh, yes, but also deeply glamourous. I felt like a French socialite in a silk robe and pearls, lounging around my hotel suite, surrounded by mountains of white floral bouquets . After a few hours, notes of orange blossom and bitter orange really started to shine. It transformed from green and spicy to subtle and maybe a bit powdery.
