Long gone are the days of dreading the airport experience because I've found a little paradise in plain sight.

I decided this would be the trip I booked a place to see whether this chic little VIP lounge lived up to my imaginative expectations.
The atmosphere was silent and miles away from the chaos of rushing travellers and gate announcements. Cold metal seats had been replaced with cosy chairs you sink into and a plug/USB combo facility in the wall just an arm's reach away and free wi-fi. Copious amounts of cold cuts of meat and cheese sit in the metal sinks next to olives but your eye can't help but wander to the trays of piping hot food taking up the majority of the counter. On display was everything from penne pasta and ratatouille to jollof-style rice and potato salad.
At a reasonable £41.99, the cost is well worth it when considering your typical airport visit. I'd normally pull up a chair with a takeaway from the local fast food joint which would cost the guts of £20 - at least.
