After suffering a major fake tan disaster I tried out the viral 60 second tan remover - and it's went straight to the top of my list of summer beauty essentials
Even the most seasoned fake tan aficionados can have a mishap from time to time, and for those of us who aren't as adept at applying it, we need a plan B for when things go pear-shaped. Despite being a beauty writer with access to an array of fabulous self-tanners, I've yet to perfect the technique, as demonstrated when I recently tried out a gradual tanner.
After a frantic evaluation of my fake tan catastrophe and mentally rifling through my wardrobe for something that would conceal my legs, I recalled having a tub of Rose and Caramel Purity Excel 60 Second Self Tan Removing Scrub, £24.95 , in my bathroom and decided now was the ideal moment to give it a whirl.
The Rose and Caramel Tan Remover was so straightforward to use that I was convinced it wouldn't do the trick. You simply slather it all over your skin, wait 60 seconds, then use an exfoliating mitt to wipe it off, and it's supposed to eradicate every trace of your self tan, regardless of how dark, patchy or long it's been on your skin.
The tan removing scrub is packed with natural perlite which aids in breaking down the tan formula, buffing it out of your skin and washing away in just 60 seconds. It has a gentle grainy texture that doesn't leave your skin feeling raw after scrubbing, and it smells divine.
