I do a lot of work to improve their lives; when I got my German shepherd she was two years old, highly reactive, underweight and had been a cruelty case. It took me another two years of work and patience to get her to where I wanted to be, but if she had gone anywhere else she probably would have been put to sleep. Now, instead, she’s 13 and has an amazing life.
Most of the time it starts at £100-ish, but sometimes it’s in the multiple hundreds. It just depends – you never know what’s going to happen. Monthly it varies between a minimum of £500 and a maximum of £8,000-10,000, depending on if they need a big operation. [About six of the dogs are also on medication, and we have ongoing prescriptions for them at around £300-£400 a month.
