When former premier of NSW Mike Baird made the decision to leave banking, he had no plans and no idea where life would take him. But he had one burning desire.
"I think I have made my contribution in politics but you never say never, never, never, although I can't see a situation arising where that would change," said Mr Baird, 52. Mr Baird returned to his pre-politics career of banking after stepping down as premier in January 2017. He was at one point touted as a potential CEO of NAB or one of the other major lenders.
