"I think I have made my contribution in politics but you never say never, never, never, although I can't see a situation arising where that would change," said Mr Baird, 52. Mr Baird returned to his pre-politics career of banking after stepping down as premier in January 2017. He was at one point touted as a potential CEO of NAB or one of the other major lenders.
