Speaking to Sky News Australia's Chief Political Reporter Kieran Gilbert, Senator Paterson said he had spent last week at pre-poll booths across Melbourne and voters were"very angry with the government, very angry with the Premier." "My sense from spending some time with those booths and talking to voters as they came in is there's a very strong desire for change.
Senator Paterson predicted voters would send a"very strong message to the state government," with the strongest reaction being in Labor's heartland.
