Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has commented on Liberal MP Bridget Archer crossing the floor after he moved a motion for a royal commission into child sexual abuse in Aboriginal communities.
Mr Dutton spoke about the matter on 2GB with Ray Hadley on Thursday morning, saying he would talk to Ms Archer in private. “I think it’s a very significant issue for our country … I think she’s made a mistake,” Mr Dutton said. “It’s the wrong decision and, most importantly from my perspective, it takes away from the Prime Minister’s culpability here.”
During Question Time, Prime Minster Anthony Albanese described the Opposition Leader’s royal commission motion as a stunt.
