Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk reveals why he refused to do one pivotal season 6 scene, playfully sharing how he pushed for a major change.
Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk says he refused to do one particular season 6 scene, jokingly telling his side of the story. As the acclaimed Breaking Bad spinoff came to a close, the show returned to Jimmy McGill in the black-and-white timeline taking place after Breaking Bad. Now living as Gene Takovic, and working at Cinnabon, he befriends Marion . But as his old crimes resurface and he feels the walls closing in, Jimmy's scenes with Marion take on a sinister turn.
"Vince wanted my character to kill you in that scene. Look at him, he's shaking his head. His exact words to me were, 'Saul ends up killing Carol Burnett.' And if I remember correctly, he didn't say, 'Kill Carol's character,' he said, 'Kill Carol Burnett.' But I refused, and I told him I'd walk."
