“As long as they stay in the World Cup, I’ll keep watching them. My son is a big soccer fan and he’s been trying to get me interested for years. The game against“When I was 10 there wasn’t much soccer on TV. I watched football every week and became a New England Patriots fan. I’m a member of a sports huddle group and we discuss sports every Wednesday. But sadly soccer is the only sport we don’t discuss.
“I remember going to the bar to watch the national team for the first time. It was like, ‘Yes, I’m drinking, I’m of age and the World Cup is here’. Being in that environment, feeling that excitement and here we are all hugging each other and yelling at the screen. There’s something really special about that.“I must confess, I’m a shout at the TV kind of fan. But then I have to apologise to my roommates for interrupting their calls, or for upsetting the dog.
“I want to manifest a 1-0 win. I’m putting that energy out there. Right now I’m so nervous, that’s why I have to watch it with other people. I hope we play defensively and if we score two goals, then why not? Just as long as it’s a win!”“I am absolutely terrified. I assume the worst just because. Hopefully we produce a good performance. Pulisic’s performance will be key if we win tonight. I haven’t been this pumped for a World Cup since 1994.
