A much-loved bar and lounge in Oldham has been named as one of the most impressive small businesses in the UK. Billingtons Ballroom has been listed among some of the nation's best as part of this year's SmallBiz100 line-up.
Kris, who is now the owner of the space said: "We are absolutely honoured and delighted to be selected as one of the nation’s most impressive one hundred small businesses by SmallBiz100. We are a small team, but we offer a big welcome to everyone, whether it’s for a cup of tea and cake or an event for 200 people. We take time and effort to ensure that we offer the best service possible to our customers.
Billingtons will be profiled by the campaign as part of the 100-day countdown to Small Business Saturday UK. “It’s great to celebrate Billingtons Oldham as part of this year’s campaign,” said Michelle Ovens CBE, director of Small Business Saturday UK. With a mission to support and celebrate the UK’s 5.5 million small businesses, Small Business Saturday is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign. It was originally founded by American Express in the U.S. in 2010, and the brand remains the principal supporter of the campaign in the UK.
