The world's best golfers are set to make a return to Melbourne as the PGA Tour announced the 2028 Presidents Cup would be held at the famous Kingston Heath Golf Club in the Sandbelt region.
The PGA Tour and Presidents Cup on Tuesday morning announced the famous match-play event would be held on the renowned Sandbelt region again as part of a long-term commitment with Visit Victoria to staging the event in Melbourne in 2028 and 2040.
"So we’re so thrilled to be coming back to Melbourne and it’s going to be great to showcase another course and another one of the gems in the Sandbelt.” The Presidents Cup was last held in Australia in 2019 when United States captain Tiger Woods’ men staged a final-day comeback against Internationals captain Ernie Els and his team at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
“It’s really difficult to get the best players in the world in one location at any time let alone Australia, we’re geographically challenged and it’s a full schedule throughout the year,” he told Fox Sports News.
