Rainbow Cone started in Chicago’s South Side Beverly neighborhood and became famous for layering its signature five flavors of ice cream on a cone.The Buona Companies, which maintains a partnership with the family and creators of Rainbow Cone, is set to start a new venture with the venerable ice cream brand on May 11 at Buona’s 3754 W. Touhy Ave., Skokie, location, according to Buona Marketing Director Candice Jordan.
