A scale model of the water feature is due to go on show around Ilkley in April.
A scale model of a fountain which is set to be installed in the centre of Ilkley is being created by a North Yorkshire artist and blacksmith.
Charity Improving Ilkley commissioned James Wilkinson, based near Boroughbridge, to create the model.The model will be on show at the Tinker Gallery from 4-20 April, when an auction of works by local artists will take place to help fund the finished article.The team from Improving Ilkley visited Mr Wilkinson's foundry last weekend to see how the model was progressing.from Ilkley Moor.
Speaking after the visit, she said: "Seeing the scale model somehow brought to life for the first time felt very affirmative for us all.
