Nyree's Lounge at 321 N. Second St. in Harrisburg has closed after the City of Harrisburg informed owner Joe Hobbs of illegal activity related to a hookah lounge operating at the property.Not everyone in Harrisburg wants the party to end when the clock strikes 2 a.m. and bars stop serving booze.

There’s no overhead because I’m not having to pay taxes for a liquor license,” Sorensen said.
One of the biggest concerns is safety, Sorensen said, adding organizers aren’t following regulations, including fire codes, noise ordinances and rules related to safely selling food and drink.
