The IMF has warned Australia's economy will likely be one of the worst-hit economies in the Asian region.
It forecast economic contractions in the United States , Japan , the United Kingdom , Germany , France , Italy , and Spain .
However, it warned there was considerable uncertainty surrounding its forecasts and much worse growth outcomes are possible. "Once containment efforts are lifted and people start moving about more freely, the virus could again spread rapidly from residual localised clusters.
