A Kmart lamp sold in all stores across the country is being urgently recalled after a number of Australians reported suffering electric shocks from a serious defect.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission on Monday sounded the alarm on the Marmo Table Lamp.
“The power cord may detach where it meets the inline switch, exposing live wires,” the ACCC wrote in a statement on Monday. Picture: ACCCThe consumer watchdog added that a number of buyers have reported"electric shock incidents associated with this defect”. The item was sold across all Kmart stores nationwide, internationally and online between January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2019.
