Aged care is one of those “unglamorous” but “important” areas of policy, says Sky News host Amanda Stoker.
“Done well, it has the potential to drastically improve the quality of life experienced by people at a time of life where they really need assistance … but done poorly, it’s a money pit that will continue to deliver sub-par
outcomes,” Ms Stoker said.Ms Stoker said according to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, by 2058 there will be a “tripling” of the number of people aged 85 years and over – the age bracket most likely to need help.
