Scott Morrison has congratulated Emmanuel Macron on his election victory, describing it as 'another great expression of liberal democracy in action in uncertain times'.
Mr Macron become the first president in 20 years to win re-election after receiving more than 58 per cent of the vote at Sunday's election.

The relationship with France deteriorated in September last year amid the launch of AUKUS, a trilateral defence and security pact between Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
