AFL: GWS Giants gun midfielder Stephen Coniglio was forced to exit the field after a brutal collision with Lions star Harris Andrews.
GWS veteran Stephen Coniglio has been subbed out in the opening quarter of his side’s do-or-die semi-final against Brisbane, with fears he may have suffered both a concussion and cheekbone injury in some friendly fire.
Unbeknown to him though was teammate Aaron Cadman and opposition defender Harris Andrews, who both collided with Coniglio almost simultaneously - leaving him in clear discomfort, despite what initially looked a somewhat innocuous incident. At half-time, it was still unclear as to whether or not Coniglio passed or failed the aforementioned test - with a failed test ruling him out of a potential preliminary final next week against Geelong.
