In-N-Out eclipsed competitors McDonald's and Burger King, which scored 41% and 40%, respectively, in overall customer satisfaction. Five Guys and Wisconsin-based chain Culvers followed In-N-Out in quality, service and cleanliness.
However, chicken restaurant Chick-fil-A took the leading spot for America's favorite fast casual restaurant overall, with arating of 4.77 compared with In-N-Out's 4.75 . At the same time, though, Chick-fil-A was also found to be one of the most polarizing brands for its brand image and values.
