Runners were splashed in pink dust from head to toe for a great cause
Hundreds of eager runners took part in Cancer Focus Northern Ireland's 5K Pink Run on Sunday in solidarity with women affected by breast cancer.
Organised to mark breast cancer awareness month, the proceeds from the Pink Run event will go towards helping local breast cancer patients here in Northern Ireland. Sunday's event saw runners and walkers splashed in pink dust from head to toe and all for a great cause as they came along to have fun on the easy and enjoyable route.Friends, family and work colleagues opted for an achievable and non-competitive race 5k run or walk, making it perfect for all ages and abilities. The route was also wheelchair/pushchair friendly and dogs were welcome too.
Those taking part were kept entertained on the way around the course with a live DJ and a warm-up at 12 noon to get the good times started!helped fund the charity's breast cancer services which are essential to providing local women with the support they need, when they need it.
