‘Incompetent’: Bolt slams Albanese government following the latest in detainee saga
Sky News host Andrew Bolt has called out the Albanese government as not only “dangerously ideology” but “simply incompetent” following Immigration Minister Andrew Giles’ latest embarrassment.
Mr Giles has admitted the 149 foreign criminals he freed from detention last year – including murderers and 37 sex offenders – were given invalid visas. “That means at least 10 will escape prosecution for breaching their now-invalid visa conditions, like not reporting to police,” Mr Bolt said. “Yet Prime Minister Anthony Albanese today tried both to dismiss this as just a technical issue while trying to hint it was a mistake inherited from the Abbott Coalition government."
