Jason Falinski looks set to be forced to preferences in Mackellar, according to a new poll in the Northern Beaches seat
The Liberal Party looks set to be forced to preferences in the blue-ribbon Sydney seat of Mackellar, as a new poll showsPolling conducted in the Northern Beaches electorate this week shows Dr Scamps with 23.9 per cent of the first preference vote, behind Mr Falinski on 35.2 per cent. In 2019, he won 53.01 per cent of first preferences.
More than 62 per cent of voters have heard of Dr Scamps – a political newcomer and former GP and emergency department doctor., Dr Scamps is part of a group of independents campaigning against sitting Liberal MPs on climate and integrity issues. The poll showed 39.9 per cent of respondents strongly or somewhat approved of Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s performance, while 52 per cent disapproved or somewhat disapproved.the poll was promising, days before Mr Morrison called the federal election.
