Umar Patek said in the now-deleted video he was against the Bali bombings - which killed 202 people including 88 Australians - but they were '95 per cent done with the project'.
In the now-deleted clip posted to the prison's YouTube channel of Porong prison in East Java, Bali bombmaker Umar Patek was seen laughing and chatting with the prison's governor Jalu Yuswa Panjang.
The video appeared on the Lapas kelas I Surabaya Youtube Channel, which regularly posts about everyday life around the prison grounds, including interviews with inmates. Patek, who was born as Hisyam bin Ali Zein, was a senior member of the Al Qaeda-linked terrorist group Jemaah Islamiah.
